Great pizza, good selection, be ready to wait on account of the legendary hype. You get to top 100 (top 60?) pizza in the world and not drum up a long line day after day. Apollonia is tasty, crispy, and flavorful. The folks inside look and sound like who you want making your pizza. No special requests, no explaining the entire menu to coddled Boomers, just know your order, step up, pay. Wait patiently (and I mean PATIENTLY) and grab your pie or slice (s). Now, everyone will compare with NYC, and stop it. Different tap water, different humidity, different air, different elevation, different pizza. Deal with it. That said, I’ll be back again before too long. Well done on some great pizza.

The best pizza I've had in L.A. so far and I've been on the search. The cheese slice is probably the closest to a NY slice that you're going to get. The crust is crispy but not dried out and it holds up to a NY Fold. The Square slice w/ pepperoni could go head-to-head with Detroit any day. Rich flavorful sauce (Not Sweet), fresh basil right after it's boxed and a drizzle of olive oil. Napkins and plates on request, but no tables if you were hoping to eat in. They are CASH ONLY, so come prepared. My only real problem was deciding what to get. There's a lot of good options and I'm already strategizing my next few visits.

The pepperoni and vodka sauce slices are very very good. They were huge too, very tall! It’s a small spot, but I was able to eat them at the counter while standing. No readily available water or napkins, but not enough room to set that up so I understand. They gave me some napkins after I asked. The employees were super nice and you can tell they’re practiced at running a popular place!

It's true. The hype is real. When people say Apollonia's has some of the best pizza in Los Angeles, they're not exaggerating. That spicy vodka square is a masterpiece of a slice. The crust is a feat of engineering, somehow both light and dense at the same time, with a perfect crispiness that gives way to a satisfying chew. And the sauce is heavenly, a perfect balance of spicy and sweet with that surprising, welcome bite of garlic. Every single bite is an experience to be savored. It's a truly magical combination, and the team at Apollonia's deserves all the praise.

This place totally slaps. Thick square pizza with great toppings, sauce, and a decadent crust. I've had the pepperoni, vodka, and Acapulco gold slices, and they were all delicious. A bit pricey for single squares, but they're filling. I've also had a slice of their round vodka pie, and that one's good too, but the star of the show is really their square slices. I've added the burrata on before and I didn't really taste a significant difference. Note that they only accept cash. There's an ATM at the smoke shop next door.

This is a cash only pizza place, take out only as well. They get busy incredibly fast and the evening we were there (a Friday), the line kept getting longer & longer. With good reason—their pizza is delicious! We actually smelled it across the street and decided to go check it out. So glad we did. We went with 2 slices of the square pepperoni pizza—Detroit style. Fantastic! I’m so glad we tried this place. We ordered at the register and paid, in cash, right then. Our wait was about 25 minutes. We left & returned to pick up. By the time we got back, there were lots of people waiting inside to pick up & a very long line outside waiting to order. It can be a little chaotic with so many people waiting inside a tight space, but these guys know what they’re doing. You do give your name when you order & they call it out once it’s boxed up & ready to go. Both employees we interacted with were friendly & helpful. Highly recommended this place if you’re in the area. No eat-in options & cash only (they are very good about reminding people of this).
